Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart were caught kissing on Wednesday night outside of the American Idol taping in Los Angeles. The 45-year-old singer broke up with the backup dancer last spring, but the two have been steadily hanging out over the past few months.
The couple split back in May 2014, with sources saying at the time that the relationship "ran its course." There also were reports that Casper had been sending racy Instagram photos to someone else.
According to TMZ, Jennifer and Casper never really broke up. Their sources claim the public split was a typical Hollywood business move in order to promote The Boy Next Door and create buzz that she was hooking up with hot co-star Ryan Guzman.
No official word on if that report is accurate, but it sort of makes sense. Guzman and his girlfriend, Melanie Iglesias, also supposedly broke up just before the actor hit the promo trail with Lopez. Whatever the case may be, it worked out pretty well. The film exceeded box office expectations.
