Sir Alex Ferguson takes 'long-term teaching position' at Harvard, David Moyes excited to enroll

Alex Ferguson
Not content to sit around and watch Manchester United struggle in his absence, Sir Alex Ferguson has accepted a "long-term teaching position" at Harvard. Ferguson will provide lectures in a new course called "The Business of Entertainment, Media and Sports" in the school's executive education program beginning in May. David Moyes is surely preparing his application for admission right now.

This announcement comes seven months after Ferguson participated in a Harvard Business School case study examining his unparalleled success over his long career as a football manager.

From the Guardian:

"I'm delighted to have the opportunity and privilege to contribute to such a respected centre of excellence," Ferguson said.

"The time I have already spent at Harvard has been a stimulating experience and I look forward to developing my relationship and activities with the students, faculty and friends of the Harvard Business School community."

For Moyes' sake, we can only hope Ferguson teaches important lessons on how to use Shinji Kagawa, how not to say regrettable things all the time, and how to beat Liverpool.
