Two trains of the Chicago Transit Authority collided at station in suburban Forest Park during Monday morning rush hour, sending 48 people to nearby hospitals.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:47 a.m. when two "El" trains collided at the Harlem stop on the CTA's blue line track, authorities said. The westbound train was standing at the station when an eastbound train on the same track plowed into it.
