Rihanna accused of cyber bullying a fan
It’s not unusual for teenage girls to mimic celebrities' red carpet looks for their own proms, but 16-year-old Alexis Carter went the nontraditional route for her Hollywood-themed school prom last week at Digital Harbor High School in Baltimore. Eschewing the traditional glam gown, Alexis wore a black jumpsuit with a plunging neckline inspired by a nearly identical green Alexandre Vauthier design her idol Rihanna wore to the Echo Awards in 2010. While the teen was confident enough to wear the out-of-the-box outfit, she could never have predicted the national attention her prom look would get. Instead of commending her for effort, Rihanna clowned the Baltimore high school student.
The student, Alexis Carter, later spoke out, telling her local news station;
"I was very offended. Why throw shade on it when you had on the exact same thing? The poses was different but the outfit wasn't. She don't love her fans like she says she does."
So what got Alexis so upset? Well, after Rihanna Tweeted a picture of her outfit with a frowny face, #PromBat trended on Twitter for hours and then there were the memes. See them after the cut..
